Biography

Born the son of an accomplished jazz drummer, there's no wonder why Ty Dennis is receiving rave reviews. Ty was practically born with a pair of drumsticks in his hands and can't remember a time in his life when he didn't play. His early exposures to jazz, rock, and funk influences are major contributors to his unique voice on the drums today.

With over nineteen years of professional experience, Ty is known for impressing band members, producers, and audiences alike. His ability to utilize various musical influences enables him to play with a diverse group of artists such as; the legendary band The Doors of the 21st Century, The Robby Krieger Band, The Motels, Elephant Ride, Firebug, and many others. Each artist is distinct in styles ranging from rock, pop, and alternative to pure funk and jazz, which Ty has managed to lead successfully on every account.

Over the past few years, Ty's talent has been showcased on various record albums (Insulated-1997, Ultraviolet Eye-1997, Larry Romano-1998, Martha Davis-1999, Deficit -2000, The Bloody Lovelies-2001, Tina DiGeorge-2001, Virgil-2002, Larry Marciano-2003, The Doors of the 21st Century-2004, Firebug-2005), concert DVDs (The Doors of the 21st Century 'L.A.
