Martha has written so many cool songs over the years, and we were constantly recording new songs in her studio. Her songs can really cover a lot of different styles and directions, too. We would record a full on country style tune with a train beat and then turn around and record a trippy, psycho, jazzy thing. Also, some songs sounded like David Bowie, and there was also the more commercial side similar to Tom Petty. It was a really creative gig, and for the 1st year or so of my time in her band the players were awesome with Angelo Barbera on bass, Michael Barbera on keys, Mick Taras on guitar, and myself.
